【Pickupp Delivers Success】Pickupp Partners with L'Occitane to Drive Sustainable Logistics and Create a Greener Future

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with L'Occitane, the leading international manufacturer and retailer of sustainable beauty and wellness products. As a logistics tech company, Pickupp shares L'Occitane's commitment to finding sustainable solutions and creating a better and healthier planet. Pickupp worked closely with L’Occitane and has achieved a 15% reduction in carbon emissions in the pilot stage. This achievement has been independently verified by EcoTransit, a global energy consumption calculation software. The initial success does not stop two sides from moving into a more ambitious goal in reducing carbon emissions. We will leverage our robust technology backbone to bundle nearby orders and recommend the ideal route for our delivery agents to ensure their capacity is fully optimized, minimize the number of vehicles required, and reduce the distance traveled. By doing so, we could help reduce carbon emissions, increase operational efficiency, and reduce up to 33% of the logistics costs.

At Pickupp, environmental issues are at the heart of our supply chain design. Over 90% of our delivery orders are delivered by walkers instead of vehicles. We collaborate with public transportation services in Hong Kong and Singapore, such as SMRT in Singapore, to encourage our walker delivery agents to utilize idle compartments of mass transit railways to handle parcels — and reduce carbon footprint while improving overall efficiency for every delivery process. L'Occitane also shares our commitment to sustainability. They produce eco-refills and adopt packaging made with recycled materials or resources that are renewable or from sustainably managed forests. They promote biodiversity through sustainable growing practices and increasingly natural formulas: 92% of the products launched in 2016 contain at least 90% natural ingredients, while 57% contain over 95%.
